Down over the ages

Down has enjoyed huge success in Gaelic Games over the decades. As well as our inspiring football wins of the 1960s and 1990s, we’ve also seen All Ireland silverware in Hurling, Camogie and Ladies’ Football.

The GAA is unlike many other sporting organisations that I have experienced. It is a way of life for its members from when they are born until they die. It is a great source of healthy amateur competition, enjoyment, friendships and support during your lifetime
